We took a two-day trip down to Arkansas to pick up our new-to-us farm truck — a 3500 HD GMC Sierra with a dump bed on a GMT 455 chassis. With only 41,000 miles, “Old Red” is just getting started!
After driving her back to Kentucky, we installed a gooseneck ball and put her straight to work hauling hay. She pulled like a champ, and the hay we bought carried us through December and into January.
Old Red will be kept in the barn and used for hauling small loads around the farm. Henry has big plans for her — hauling rock, dirt, mulch, and firewood for the business.
