We’ve been diligently working on improving our feeding operations — giving our cows the best grain and hay to keep them looking their best all season long.
Here’s the scoop: we’ve applied for the State Cost Share Program through NRCS (Natural Resources Conservation Service). This program is a fantastic opportunity to upgrade our feed pad and make our farm more efficient. While the process involves a lot of paperwork, physical labor, and waiting, we believe it’s worth it to ensure our cattle get the best care. Plus, if we’re selected to participate, we’ll receive upfront funding to kickstart the project — all while following the NRCS guidelines to get the job done right.
